If you have D2 (1972) heads or up then you are in luck, because there is no reason to build up the bottom of the port. Just machine, port match and get on your way.

Of course, when Ford designed the cylinder heads they often changed them. The C9 and DOVE have small com
bustion chambers, but alas the bottom of the port is to
lowto make this an easy mount. See EP-22-A
